Chinese Communist Media Goes CRAZY Over Trump’s U.N. Speech

( Chinese state media went crazy over President Donald Trump’s speech to the United Nations this week. Trump blasted China for allowing the Chinese coronavirus to leave Wuhan and spread across the rest of the world, prompting state-run media outlets in China to accuse Trump of smearing Beijing.

During his speech, President Trump stressed the importance of holding China accountable for failing to contain the virus, which has killed almost 1 million people globally.

Trump also used the speech to accuse China of not being upfront about the nature of the virus and not sharing important information with the United Nations and the world. In a taped video, pre-recorded because of the outbreak, Trump said that the “United Nations must hold China accountable for their actions.”

“The Chinese government and the World Health Organization – which is virtually controlled by China – falsely declared that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission,” Trump said. “Later, they falsely said people without symptoms would not spread the disease.”

It prompted an onslaught of attacks from China.

One such headline reads, “Chinese Mission to the U.N. Rejects the Attack and Slander Against China In the Statement of the U.S. At the General Debate of the 75th Session of the U.N. General Assembly.”

Another headline reads, “Why Trump’s Shock Speech Cannot Split the U.N.” while another said, “U.S. Fails to Act Like a Major Power at the U.N.”

Perhaps that’s true, if “acting like a major power” means being nice to China, even when they didn’t inform the world about the true nature of the virus from the beginning.

In a piece by the Global Times, the outlet explains, “Obviously, Trump does not regard the UN as a platform for cooperation — he just views it as an arena to play out the ‘games’ among the great powers.”

Obviously? OK, sure.

“Any responsible media and country will not join his anti-China camp as they know that the Trump administration’s unilateralism and hegemony will make them suffer, and the U.S. will end up being isolated from the rest of the world,” another outlet complained.

Much of the coverage from Chinese state media dismissed the president’s claims as untrue, or baselessly attacked the president for “smearing” China.

If China’s mad, you know the president’s probably right about this, right?
