(ConservativeUnit.com)- Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who recently found herself in the middle of a scandal involving her previous comments about Q Anon, saw her favorability and name recognition within the GOP soar according to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll.
The new survey, released on Wednesday, showed that a successful push by the Democrats to strip Taylor Greene of her committee assignments might have backfired.
It found that Greene’s approval among Republicans increased by 11 points in the space of a week, reaching 30%. Her 23% unfavorability rate didn’t change during that time.
Furthermore, Republicans who had never heard of the Georgia representative dropped to 47% from 60%. People very much know who Marjorie Taylor Greene is now, and the Democrats can thank themselves for that.
But the effect didn’t just go one way.
House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney, the daughter of Dick Cheney who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump, also saw her favorability rise slightly among Republicans. Cheney is notoriously opposed to Taylor Greene, too. Her favorability within the Republican Party rose from 15% to 22%.
But, it still doesn’t look good for Taylor Greene. An increase in her favorability numbers is one thing, but she is still unpopular overall. An Economist/YouGov survey found that 43% of voters viewed her unfavorably, and only 17% said they supported her.
Do you have a favorable or an unfavorable opinion of Marjorie Taylor Greene?

32% of Biden voters say they view her favorably, and 18% say they don’t. In the GOP, 25% support her, 21% don’t.
The poll also found that white college-educated men overwhelmingly disapprove of Marjorie Greene, 18% to 57%. Among white men with no degree, 19% supported her and 33% didn’t support her.
Similarly, both women with and without degrees generally disapproved of Taylor Greene.
Those aren’t great numbers by any stretch, and if Taylor Greene is to win her primary before 2022, she has a lot of work to do. But, so far, the Democrats have helped her in that effort.
If they keep attacking her, who knows how much more her popularity will increase?
