Tlaib “NOT INTERESTED IN UNITY,” Goes To War With So-Called Moderate Joe Biden

( Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the Democratic Representative for Michigan’s 13th District, signaled the beginning of a war with so-called moderates in the Democratic Party who may be willing to negotiate with Democrats under a possible Biden administration. Tlaib, who is a member of the far-left “squad” of female members of Congress, said that she rejects calls from her party to pull back on “defund the police” sloganeering.

Tlaib said that calls to reverse course on their extreme left-wing rhetoric was a matter of “silencing” her and her far-left colleagues, and pushed back on the idea of “unity.”

Since the media called the race for Joe Biden, Democrats have disingenuously pushed the idea of “unity.” TIME Magazine featured Biden and Harris on their front cover last week with the slogan, “A time to heal.” The magazine article made no reference to the fact that Joe Biden’s campaign repeatedly compared the president and his supporters to Nazis.

Regardless, Tlaib is not on board with the message of “unity” and would prefer to continue down the hyper-partisan path of far-left progressivism.

Speaking to Politico, Tlaib said that moderate Democrats are just trying to shift blame and responsibility for not gaining the seats they hoped they would in the Senate and House in this election.

“We’re not going to be successful if we’re silencing districts like mine,” she claimed. “Me not being able to speak on behalf of many of my neighbors right now, many of which are black neighbors, means me being silenced. I can’t be silenced.”

If only the party becomes more radically left-wing, she says…

“We are not interested in unity that asks people to sacrifice their freedom and their rights any longer,” she said, without explaining what rights people are being made to sacrifice.

“And if we truly want to unify our country, we have to really respect every single voice,” she added.

Even…Trump voices?

“We say that so willingly when we talk about Trump supporters, but we don’t say that willingly for my black and brown neighbors and from LGBTQ neighbors or marginalized people,” she added.

There is no evidence that Tlaib has ever said that Trump supporters need to have their voices heard.
